Management Development Program

Each summer, we invite a new class of associates to learn and grow with us in a three year rotational program.

As a growing company, our Management Development Program seeks to build talent from within.

Each Management Development class will be given the training, team work, and experience they need to excel:


You will meet with executives, learn about the company and our culture, gain business skills, and prepare for your first rotation. Our training will prepare you to hit the ground running and be a valued contributor to your team.


Joining as a part of a class offers you unique opportunities to build life-long relationships. We have a comprehensive schedule of events from dining out, to sporting events, NASCAR races, and more.

The Rotations

You will spend a full year in each of three groups across the company. Your time with each group will provide you an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the business functions and the company as a whole. Post-program placements are based on your performance throughout your rotations.

Rotations are available in the following departments:

Creates and develops integrated marketing campaigns designed to build brand equity for Sunoco's expanding portfolio of brands.

Drives Sunoco's growth strategy through M & A analysis, budgeting and forecasting, capital modeling and market segment analysis.

Negotiates with supplier partners to create value through improved process design and advanced analytics.

Retail Operations
Responsible for the day-to-day management of thousands of retail locations.

Human Resources
Manages human capital by recruiting, developing, and mentoring Sunoco's people.

Business Development
Actively seeks out and converts gasoline retailers to the Sunoco brand.

Supply & Trading
Supplies Sunoco's branded, un-branded and race fuels businesses with high quality fuels so they can fuel more on the move.

Oversees daily pricing of Sunoco fuel through competitive market analysis and modeling.
